NOAA Marine Fisheries Service
http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov

The main objectives of the NMFS are to rebuild and maintain sustainable fisheries, promote the recovery of protected species, and protect and maintain the health of coastal marine habitats. AOC has dedicated much effort and time to support the Fisheries programs; the Twin Otters are the primary platforms used to support the following missions.

NOAA Weather Service
http://www.nws.noaa.gov

NOAAs Weather Service (NWS) provides weather, hydrologic, and climate forecasts and warnings for the United States, its territories, adjacent waters and ocean areas, for the protection of life and property and the enhancement of the national economy. NWS data and products form a national information database and infrastructure which can be used by other governmental agencies, the private sector, the public, and the global community." AOC is instrumental in providing the NWS with real-time data from inside and around hurricanes as the P-3 and G-IV hurricane hunter aircraft launch on storms. The hydrological survey team flies extensive tracks throughout the continental US, Alaska, and Canada to collect snow water equivalent data.
